LIVINGSTONE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY, INC.

Founded in 1996, LCA is a Pre-K to 10 school in Cebu, Phi l ippines, recognized by the Department of Education. Our vision has remained the same and focused: a defined future through changed lives. This is achieved by developing lives to become holy and pleasing unto God. LCA provides space and opportunity for crucial learning and selfexpression to take place. Each learner is taught to have GRACE—Grit, Responsibility, Attitude, Curiosity, and Excellence. LCA is a Christian school and believes in Jesus and the Bible. Our curriculum is Bible-based with the necessary competencies, skills, and knowledge to help learners reach their full potential as “active lifelong learners” and grow into men and women of character.

The core of education should be character building more than creating brilliant minds, which has always been a hallmark of LCA. Academic excellence is just an outgrowth of moral excellence. LCA has not only made me ready for college or career, it prepared me for life.

I was once a shy, average student, that had always felt like I don’t belong to a community. I was locked up in a little room that my mind always made me think I had—until I transferred to LCA in 2002.

Not very long, I started to notice how LCA makes it so comfortable for an awkward teenager that I was, and showed me how they trusted in me. Soon enough, I gained a number of achievements that I am proud of. Now that I am a member of the US Navy, I am reminded everyday of what I was taught in BGB:

LCA has played a big role in my life. The institution did not only give me an excellent educational attainment, it has also abundantly imparted valuable learning and principles to which I am constantly grateful for. The school has been prominently known to be an institution that has high regard to teaching of the Word of God. Through the school teachings, I was enlightened with God’s Word as it has taught me how to be a good follower of Christ as well as to be a good person. In all goodness and gratitude, I am proud to say that I am an LCA alumna.
